Periodicals Shift from 2nd Floor to STACKS areas
As part of the efforts to make room for the collections coming from Baltimore Hebrew University, all bound periodicals will be classified with Library of Congress call numbers and housed with their corresponding subject areas in the STACKS. This means that bound volumes of journals such as Current Musicology, American Theatre, and Dance Research Journal will now have call numbers (just like books) and be shelved with book collections in the STACKS area. Current year’s copies (loose, individual copies recently received) will still be housed in the Periodical Reading Room on the second floor of the library, but once the issues are complete for that year and received back from the bindery, they will go to the STACKS area.
This is an ongoing project and titles will be shifted throughout the next few months. If you are having trouble locating a particular bound journal, be sure to call (410 704-2399) or visit the Cook Library Periodicals Desk on the second floor of the library.
